HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts Collaborates with SHANG XIA to Bring Chinese Craftsmanship into the Guest Experience
Shanghai, 25 August 2026 — HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has
collaborated with SHANG XIA, a lifestyle brand rooted in Chinese culture, to introduce Chinese craftsmanship and cultural references into the guest experience. The collaboration includes a co-branded bath amenities collection and a series of cultural experiences, bringing together HUALUXE’s approach to Chinese hospitality and SHANG XIA’s expertise in design and craftsmanship.
SHANG XIA x Tea Serenity
Under the theme Tea Serenity, SHANG XIA unveils a lineup of furniture and home objects, shaped around tea rituals and imbued with the atmosphere of summer. SHANG XIA believes that traditional craft endures only when it is touched, experienced and woven into everyday moments. Within the tranquil sphere of tea, light fills the room, and summer’s grace abounds.

SHANG XIA at The Peninsula Shanghai
At The Peninsula Shanghai, SHANG XIA presented an immersive installation showcasing the brand's vision of contemporary Eastern living. The exhibition featured signature creations in eggshell lacquer, bamboo filament craftsmanship, and contemporary furniture, highlighting the dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and modern design. Designed to encourage interaction, the installation allowed visitors to discover the materials, techniques, and stories behind each collection within one of Shanghai's most iconic destinations.

SHANGXIA x JINGANLI
As part of the Urban Stroll Season, SHANG XIA opened a new exhibition space at Tang Residence East Building, Jingan Li - Xintiandi.
Developed in collaboration with Jingan Li, the project recreated a contemporary Eastern living environment through a tea room, reception lounge, and games room. Combining furniture, decorative objects, and everyday rituals, the installation demonstrated how traditional craftsmanship can naturally integrate into modern lifestyles
SHANG XIA × ONE CENTRAL PARK
Presented in partnership with Shanghai No.1 Courtyard, this exhibition brought together architecture, interior design, and craftsmanship to showcase SHANG XIA's vision of contemporary Eastern living. A curated selection of furniture, lighting, and decorative objects was displayed within one of Shanghai's landmark residential developments, illustrating how traditional craftsmanship continues to inspire contemporary spaces and lifestyles.

Wander through SHANG XIA Pavillion
Between SHANG and XIA introduced visitors to the brand's signature craftsmanship through a curated exhibition of furniture, decorative objects, and tea ware. From bamboo-wrapped porcelain and traditional lacquer to carbon fiber furniture, the presentation illustrated our approach to reinterpreting Chinese craftsmanship through contemporary design. Visitors were invited to explore the collections through materials, textures, and making techniques.
