WANDER THROUGH WONDER
In 2008, the philosophy of SHANG XIA was born in Paris — a vision co-founded by the Hermès Group and Chinese designer Jiang Qiong’er, to create a lifestyle brand rooted in Chinese cultural heritage.
In 2010, SHANG XIA unveiled its first collection, which immediately captivated the world.
In 2014, the Echo Collection Porcelain Bowl was permanently acquired by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, marking the brand’s first inclusion in an international museum collection.
Over the following decade, more than ten limited-edition SHANG XIA creations have been collected by world-class museums and art institutions.
Thus began a journey of aesthetics that bridges East and West — a timeless dialogue between tradition and modernity.

SHANG XIA 15th Anniversary Exhibition
On the occasion of SHANG XIA’s fifteenth anniversary, we are honored to present the special exhibition Wander Through Wonder. Returning to the origin of design, this exhibition invites you to rediscover the harmony between hands and materials, and to encounter masterpieces collected by leading museums around the world.
With craftsmanship as the core of the journey, the exhibition unfolds through the veins of Eggshell Lacquer, the weave of Bamboo Marquetry, and the ripples of Xipi Lacquer, guiding visitors on an intimate voyage through artistry and time. Each piece embodies the devotion and mastery of artisans who, through years of patience and precision, transform traditional techniques into timeless art.
We invite you to the SHANG XIA Maison to explore the evolution of Chinese craftsmanship on the global stage and to experience a kind of beauty that transcends time.
