Huang Yuxing Carbon Fiber 6 Panel Screen, Boundless Landscape

SHANG XIA collaborates with contemporary Chinese artist Huang Yuxing, a representative of the post-70s generation, to present the limited edition custom-made Carbon Fiber six-panel folding screen as a collaborative piece exclusively for collectors. It is a reproduction of Huang Yuxing’s artwork, This Land So Rich in Beauty, which is his interpretation and reworking of Wang Ximeng’s A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains and was completed in 2019 after five years of work. Incorporating Huang Yuxing's signature visual language into the classic Carbon Fiber Collection, it constructs a world of fantastical abstract colours; East Asian landscapes are reimagined, bounding with interpretations and reflections on life, time and nature.

The frame of the screen is crafted with carbon fiber technology, and each panel can be folded to any angle, allowing it to stand independently or be folded for convenient storage. The screen surface is finished through UV digital printing with special UV curing agents in the ink, which dries and solidifies upon exposure to ultraviolet light, presenting the original colours of the artwork.

Building upon the foundation of classic carbon fiber works, SHANG XIA expands to offer screens in different sizes and shapes, aiming to capture the expressive power of the original piece. These large furnishing pieces provide a strong visual presence and are suitable for pairing with sofas and coffee tables, decorating living rooms, dining areas, and other residential spaces, as well as public areas in commercial spaces, adding an extraordinary artistic touch.
